Vitrotest has produced a range of mouse monoclonal antibodies specific for HHV-6 U90 antigen. This antigen is a highly immunogenic component of HHV6A and is involved in replication, binding to DNA and cellular proteins. The proposed monoclonal antibodies can be successfully used as positive controls or calibrators. This approach will avoid the search for highly active sera and use in test kit components.
