Ascaris lumbricoides indirect ELISA controls

An indispensable component of the test kit for detection of antibodies to ascaris is a positive control, usually in the form of containing specific antibodies human serum. However, it is difficult to find sera with high levels of antibodies, and in addition, serum and plasma can be potential sources of infection.
To solve these problems, we propose synthetic positive controls based on monoclonal antibodies. These synthetic controls not only completely eliminate the risks of potential contamination, but offer numerous advantages, including increased stability, minimal variation between production lots, availability and ease of standardization. Our set of four internal controls showed consistent performance across our test sets. A mixture of several internal controls reveals certain advantages over monocontrol.
In addition, we offer special stabilizers designed to provide long-term internal control stability, which guarantees product potency for up to 2 years.
