In most ELISA protocols, the positive control is serum containing antibodies to a specific marker. However, serum and plasma containing high levels of antibodies to Chlamydia trachomatis are quite rare and there may be a risk of infection to the user.
In response to these challenges, we propose synthetic positive controls based on monoclonal antibodies against recombinant Chlamydia trachomatis MOMP or HSP60 protein. These synthetic controls have a number of advantages, including improved stability, reduced lot-to-lot variation, availability and ease of standardization. For many years, such synthetic controls have continuously supported the production of our diagnostic kits.
In addition, we offer special stabilizers designed to ensure long-term stability of internal controls.
